You know nothing gets me more excited than fashion. And you know nothing brings joy to my heart more than flowers. Just ask my sales guy, Kevan, at United Floral! Today what makes my heart elate is the combination of both worlds.
Christian Dior is someone who understood the magic of this a while ago and said, “After women, flowers are the most divine creations”. I concur Mr. Dior!
I’ll share my passion and love for fashion another time but for now I want to tell you about an incredible opportunity we were presented with last week.
When I did the first photo shoot for Fleurs J’adore (photo to the right) someone said that I should enter Fleurs De Villes. For those of you who don’t know what Fleurs De Villes is- just imagine fresh flowers couture exhibit featuring the best creations from all over. Daunting if you ask me!
My initial response was “Oh, maybe in like 2-3 years.”
Well let’s just say, the “big guy” had a different plan because we will be featuring a design at Fleurs De Villes this week!
Heartfelt thanks to Tina Barkley and Karen Marshall Ducommun for bringing the love of flowers to so many cities across Canada. They have given designers a platform to showcase their creativity and connect people to nature’s best. I admire you both tremendously. We feel so privileged to be in the company of some of the best designers and beyond thrilled to have The Hudson’s Bay sponsor our mannequin!
Fleurs De Villes is an annual event that takes in various cities. Highly recommend you make check it out.
