Picture this: A fresh dusting of snow glistens in the morning light as you sip your first cup of coffee, wrapped in a cozy blanket, feeling like you just stepped into the pages of a winter wonderland novel. Welcome to The Cozy Blue House—your dreamy, storybook-perfect escape in Collingwood. Wow, I sound like I'm about to write the next series of The Chronicles of Narnia.
I’ve never been a huge fan of winter since I’m from a hot country and thrive in the heat, but this year, I FINALLY decided to embrace it—and nothing could have made the experience more enjoyable than this beautiful place. From the moment you drive up and walk through the door, you’re wrapped in warmth—both literally and figuratively.
This stunning three-bedroom home is bright, airy, modern, and impeccably styled, making it feel like the kind of place where you instantly belong. The plush furnishings invite you to sink in, the soft lighting sets the mood for ultimate relaxation, and every chic, thoughtful touch whispers, stay a little longer. We, in fact, stayed a little longer than expected—I know the owners. :)

You know when people say, “I just want to curl up by the fireplace and read a book”? But who even has a fireplace these days? This place does! And that’s exactly what I did when I saw it—I curled up on the couch and read my book. This is a luxury for me, my friends!
Once I felt relaxed and no longer compelled to finish my book in one sitting, we decided to go on an adventure. Let’s talk location. The Cozy Blue House is centrally located, just a 10- to 20-minute walk to downtown Meaford—one of the most charming towns, filled with boutiques and cozy cafés.

If you’re a big thrill-seeker like I am (not), but really, if you are, you’re just a short drive from Blue Mountain Resort, Scandinave Spa, Scenic Caves Adventures, and multiple ski clubs. We did go skiing—or at least we tried to—because, let’s be honest, we’re not very good. But regardless, we had a blast! Après-ski is definitely more my thing.
Back at The Cozy Blue House, the magic continues. The spacious backyard, even in the heart of winter, is an experience. Picture yourself gathered around the fire pit, roasting s’mores under a star-lit sky, or firing up the BBQ for an après-ski feast. (We didn’t do any of this, but just imagine it.) I will for sure do this next time. And kudos to the owners for putting in fast WiFi—so if you must get a little work done, you can. But don’t you dare!
